Remember Who You Are

From a Capitol Hill confirmation hearing, Judge Jodie Davis – a nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court – tells the U.S. Senate about her childhood in northeast Arkansas in the turbulent South of the late civil rights era (1968-69).  The lives of young Jodie’s neighbors are thrown into turmoil – first when a black family tries to buy a house in their neighborhood, then by a monster tornado roiling through their town.

But none of that prepares them for the chaos in the aftermath of a murder on the football field of the high school – a murder witnessed by several young people from the neighborhood.  The decisions that everyone makes in the aftermath have enormous consequences for each one of them, for the rest of their lives.
